15 Months!

DJ turned 15mo on Saturday! He had his checkup yesterday. He weighed in at 26lbs 13.5oz and 33 1/4 inches tall. ~75% for weight (shocking given that BIG belly) and 100% for height..no surprise there! He's already getting use to making his slam dunks :) Mommy unfortunately couldn't go to the app as she has been serving Jury Duty now for 3 days and thankfully was excused today..woo hoo!! But daddy did good and DJ did really well during his visit and getting his shots. Daddy was concerned with how much DJ eats and the doctor said he can even eat more given he's only in the 75th percentile..haa! The kid only eats healthy food but always wants more..guess i shouldn't complain but seriously that belly is HUGE! Also he isn't drinking very much milk or water since going off the bottle but they don't see to be worried given the yogurt and cheese he gets and fruit!

He has started to sign "more" and say "mo, mo, mo" :) We have had to remove him from his high chair as he has learned how to pull the tray off himself! Then we put him in his portable highchair and his belly is now too big for the last setting of the tray, so that leaves us only to put him up to the table which he seems to really enjoy! They have these cool place mats that suction cup to the table and then have a little tray/cup that hangs over the table, under his mouth basically to catch the lost food! We also started using a plate for meals...he uses one at school so thought why not. So far so good and it's less mess for Mommy and Daddy to clean up! Not sure why we didn't do that sooner.

We recently bought some tofu (not soaked in miso soup) and he loves it! He loves to shut doors himself and even tries to open them. He'll walk through the baby gate and with one arm not even looking back shut the door as he walks through and keep on walking (even cutting off Mommy..haa) He loves to go up and down the driveway and walk to the mailbox with daddy! We recently bought him some Markers that "magically" don't color on anything except his coloring books and even only colors within the lines (haa), those markers are his favorite toy lately and he'll carry them everywhere and take the caps on and off..Mommy does more coloring than him with them! He plays with real (washable) markers at school but of course ends up w/ it all over his clothes..so these are better for Mommy and Daddy to handle for now!
