HAPPY EASTER 2010

We had a fun Easter Weekend! Saturday started off with an Easter Egg Hunt at a local park. DJ got the hang of picking up the eggs but he is still pretty shy.

We took DJ afterwards to get a new big boy bike with training wheels! He has been loving the tricycle but really has outgrown it already. He has been riding Hailey's princess bike when he can and loving it so we thought it was time to get him his own. Mema was actually with us and ended up buying it for DJ for his Easter present...hmmm spoiled much?!? :) He was sooo excited but of course didn't realize it needed to be put together. Once it was he was all smiles and riding around the block several times! Unfortunately the weather has been too rainy to go but a few times since.
Easter Day DJ woke up to his Easter Basket that was a bit extra and gifts from the grandparents! Of course he went for the wrapped gifts first (THANK YOU Grandma and Gamma/Gampa). We got him a new glove for lefties..he always puts his right handed glove on his right hand so thought we should get the right one so it fits right...we are still determining if he is a lefty or not..he eats/colors with both but bats/swings a golf club as a lefty. Damon also had picked up a few toys awhile back that apparently accumulated to be his Easter presents..hopefully he doesn't remember how nice the Easter Bunny was this year and expect it for next year :) We went to church and DJ did great sitting through the service. Then we had everyone over to our house for dinner and Hailey was even able to be with us too! DJ and Hailey had a great time doing their Egg Hunt quickly before the rain started and then more fun opening the eggs and playing the rest of the day!

DJ went to school this past week and out of the blue one of the teachers asked DJ "what's crackin" and he said "crackin an egg"..LOL who knows where that came from! But we did notice when he was opening his eggs from the hunt he would "crack" them open on the carpet...too cute, probably more efficient than trying to pry those things open!Bummer we didn't get a full family photo but before Ryan had to run back to the restaraunt we took a quick pic of all the guys in their blue shirts! Dave felt left out not holding a kido so grabbed the duck :)
