The BIG 3-2!

So i use to not understand how people could forget how old they are...well ever since i turned 30 i seriously FORGET also....it's like what is the point..haa! But yes i am actually 32 this year..wow, crazy! It's fun because there are 5 of us at work that all turned 30 the same year so now we go along the milestones together!

I had a great Birthday this year...started off on Friday with a movie day goodie bag from a friend at work, flowers, starbucks gift card and yummy CUPCAKEs that seriously looked too good to eat then had a Girls Night with Dinner at BJ's....yummy Pizookie and a lemon drop, then to the movies to see No Strings Attached..with one of my favorite guys Ashton Kutcher! :) Saturday we dropped the little munchkin at my Mom's for the night and went to PF Changs where we had a DELICIOUS dinner and 2 fabulous Lemon Drops! (they seriously have the BEST)! We slept in the next day..unfortunately only till 8am...it kills me when you "can" sleep in you can't and when you have to get up all you want to do is sleep...haa! But then we stayed in bed allllll day long and watched 4 movies back to back. Then picked up the little man at dinner time and had a nice evening with my boys...DJ got me roses and "chapstick" that he apparently picked out..he knows how much i love it..haa!! Monday my work team took me to Mikuni's for SUSHI!! Then Monday night we did our family celebration and had delicious Pasta with Lemon Marang (sp?) home made pie! Where is got 2 more starbucks gift cards..ahh they know me too well!

.......Thennnnn Thursday night Damon took me to "The Kitchen" restaurant for dinner....we have been there before several years ago and have been talking forever about going again and finally did! It is a one seating place each evening for 50 people...servers a 6 course meal over a ~4hr period! We were in HEAVEN! (see menu & pics below)! Randall getting the show started! First Course....DELICIOUS!
Duck Consomme with Mille-Feuile of Wood Roasted Pearl Onions and Swiss Chard
Second Course....

Salad of Belgian Endive, Frisee, Rock Shrimp 'Ice Cube', Walnuts and Emulsified Blood Orange Vinaigrette

Intermission...Sushi and Sashimi....BEST sushi EVER! They even had "real" wasabi and YES you can tell the difference..wow! Noah grinding the FRESH wasabi from the root!
I went back for just one more oyster and they were gone...the chef then brought me a half dozen..yumm! They all really treat you VERY well here!Third Course...my FAVORITE...Seriously I practically licked the plate!

Local Sturgeon in Puff Pastry with Tarragon 'Caviar', preserved Lemon and Maine Lobster Mousse.
Fourth Course....i had mine more well done where everyone else had it rare...damon had 4 of these! (you can order as many of any course that you want)
Slow Cooked Wagyu Beef Ribeye with Cauliflower-Potato Puree, Mushrooms and Truffled Bordelaise Sauce.

Fifth course..you could make your "tea"! I'm not a tea person so just had my coffee!

Sixth Course...again my FAVORITE and i'm not much of a sweets person!
Bittersweet Chocolate Pot de Creme with Vanilla Custard, New Strawberries and Paige Tangerine Sorbet

I feel very blessed to have such wonderful friends and family all around me to make me feel very loved and special! Now we get a break..no more birthdays until November..haa!
