October catch up...Bdays, Maui...Halloween!

We celebrated Grandma and Auntie B's bday at Bidwell Street Bistro!

 Then had a family 1st BIRTHDAY Party for Miles.  First stop Bishop's pumpkin patch w/ the cousins!

Big 1 YEAR OLD! He is still jabbering like crazy but no real words..tries to say ball..sometimes says Dada...but jabbers and looks at us like we should know what he just said all the time..ha!  He started walking a few days after his birthday and now is nonstop everywhere..and of course just chatting the entire time as he walks around! He's off the bottle and formula..loves milk and is eating more fruits. He eats pretty much all veggies and main dishes i give him and school gives him..it's soo nice! He does seem to be stubborn..i think he might be our problem child..ha!  He is quickly learning the word no and listening more to stay away from the TV and not open cupboards but definitely doesn't like it when we remove things he wants from his hands and gets a major attitude and a 5sec crying fit..haa! He is such a Happy boy though and LOOOVES his big brother. He still lights up when DJ comes in the room and DJ loves to make him smile...definitely awesome seeing their relationship grow!  Miles loves blocks and anything he can shake and make noise, he also loves books and flips the pages as i read to him or on his own and thinks all books are touch/feel!

He DID NOT like his cake...nor did he like it a few days later either. Crazy kid...but i'm happy he doesn't like sweets..ha! We'll see how long it lasts!

MAUI!!!! Ahhh our annual adult vacation again after 2yrs break..ha! We planned a week long trip with our good friends and kids free! We stayed in a beautiful hotel, great location, great weather and pretty much did NOTHING but lay by the pool every day, all day! It was soo nice as we never get to do that. We did do a Dinner Cruise, the guys Golfed and then an all day Snorkel/sailing trip and got to see dolphins. It was great to get home though..a week is just long enough away from the boys!

HALLOWEEN! Wow it was a busy month...we had several different halloween activities...First my work put on a kids halloween afternoon...they decorated cookies and trick or treated our aisles!  DJ was Don from Dinosaur Train...the costume was the largest size they had but still a little too small..haa! DJ's first costume when he was almost 1yr old didn't fit Miles so i opted for a Triceratops and they both were dinosaurs! Miles did great keeping the hood on shockingly!  We went Trunk or Treating at a church near by and DJ wanted to be his last year costume of Spiderman...then back to Don for the actual trick or treating. We went through a neighborhood near by that really goes all out w/ the decorations. We went with our friend and their daughter Brooke...DJ was shy going up to each house but didn't want to stop either! Luckily the rain held off and it was a fun night!
