DJ 14months

DJ is doing great. He's walking all over the place. We finally bought him some hard soled shoes and even his first pair of Nike's like Daddy, however Mommy quickly discovered that shoe laces are not the best for a 1yr old! He still gets wobbly here and there and falls, but gets right back up, nothing seems to phase him thankfully. Unless he is tired of course then every fall and frustration results in whining or hands up in the air for us to pick him up. But he is a cuddle monkey and loves to cuddle with his blanky before bed.

He recently discovered he can open drawers and cupboards! We signed him up for swim lessons in June. It's for 2wks, 3o minutes each night, i can't wait to take him. He's going to go w/ his buddies Brandon and Gabriel too! The weather is getting warmer, which meant i had to buy him new clothes, surprisingly he had no short sleeve shirts, but i found some cute clothes which had to be size 2T because of his big belly! He had a strange fever last week with no other symptoms which i'm thinking is due to teething as he has been chomping on his fingers the past few weeks, i'm assuming his molars are coming in. His last visit to the doctor he weighed ~28lbs but did have all his clothes on.

He's still eating pretty well, i'm struggling to find proteins for him as he doesn't each much outside of chicken nuggets and now tofu and eggs. But loves his veggies, fruit and cheese, still no pasta, although lately doesn't like peas anymore which he use to LOVE! We'll see, he screams to get his waffle or pancakes for breakfast every time he hears the toaster or the microwave done. It's really cute. And we are trying to only give him the bottle after dinner to finish up the milk he hasn't had for the day. I think it's more selfish for us as we like to hold him on our laps while he drinks it.

He's doing great at Daycare, loves to play with the kids and do the arts and crafts. He's taking one nap there but two when home with us. He's also still sleeping 7pm to 7am thankfully! He's still jabbering like crazy but no words yet, in his own time i guess! He loves to go for rides in his car and now that it's lighter later and warm out we get to go on lots of walks.

Daddy is starting to play baseball now, so we will be going to lots of his games to cheer him on! Mommy had a girls day yesterday to enjoy a movie and dinner w/ some friends, it was a nice break but missed putting my little man to bed.
