Mr. Independant...

DJ has been talking soo much and saying tons of new 3-4 word sentences...it shocks me the new things he says, repeats what we say and that he remembers it...Like "Mommy take big bite" as i was eating my pasta tonight for dinner and half of it went back on my plate..hee. He is also becoming a little tooo independant out of no where "having to" open/close all doors himself, get in and out of his chair at the table, get in/out of his carseat, carry his lunch bag to from/school, put his milk away in the refridgerator after every meal...sometimes take his own jacket/clothes off too..OOHHH and within the past few days doesn't like what shoes i put on him or shirt/pants and insists on going in the drawer to pick another one out...seriously?!?! already?! :) It's cute but sometimes not so cute..hee! Seems a few of his classmates are the same way so i guess it's a 2yr old thing..fun, fun! But he is adjusting to his new class at school pretty well and i think having a lot more to do w/ the "older kids" :) He still asks to go say hi to Ms Kissa (Charissa > his toddler teacher) which is Left as we go in the door and he needs to go Right to go to the "big kid room" as i call it. But he says hi to her and goes easily to his room thankfully.

So lucky me..damon was told a week in advance that he had to go to Malaysia for 2 WEEKS! So he left on friday and will be back a week from Saturday. Thank goodness for modern technology because we are able to chat via video every night...our 7pm is their 11am. DJ has been doing a lot better than i expected and when asked where daddy is..."Daddy on a trip", "Daddy go bye-bye on Airplane" :) I of course miss him A LOT and definitely his help with DJ..i don't know how single mom's do it...i guess you adjust but luckily i only have it for 2wks :)

Here is a pic of DJ using his new Firetruck plates he got for his bday from Gamma and Gampa..he loooves them! :) Also eating pasta with SAUCE, which i have not dared since the last time i tried spaghetti o's (probably a year ago or so!)...atleast he was a little cleaner this time!
