Funny Man

DJ's new Sunglasses :) We'll see how long these last as he loves to open them up around his belly!

Still doing push ups! He'll do this and count...1, 2, 3, 4, 5....hee :)DJ sitting on his "cars potty seat" :) Of course at this time..he grunts to "go"..doesn't..then gets his diaper on...10min later poops..and then wants to sit back on the potty..cried cause he thought he has to sit on the potty now that he went potty and didn't want me to change his diaper...haaa...potty training in progress but obviously not much made :)

I duno what this was all about..the first time he lined up anything soo straight!

DJ's first pair of "sandals that go between his toes" :) We just discovered that DJ wears a size 9 shoe size...SERIOUSLY, he is only 2yrs old!?!? crazy! Poor baby..we usually realize his shoes are tooo small when we have to start shoving his foot in the shoe..but this time that didn't happen but he started getting little calouses on the side of his big toes! Went to the shoe store and his foot was right at the size 9 line!! I have friends w/ kids twice his age and even Hailey only wears a size 8!

Sooo what else is new...lets see. DJ is watching Sesame Street off and on...he really doesn't want to watch much TV and unfortunately we haven't been playing his letter/number DVD's much anymore..but daddy does turn on Sesame Street once in awhile and he loves to point out Elmo :) DJ has all of his 2yr molars broken through but thankfully has remained mostly himself w/ the exception of a few out of no where tantrums, which i like to blame on those teeth..hee. I need to get a picture but, Damon started playing w/ DJ's "hippo puppet" and talking in a different voice and DJ just cracks up and now asks for Hippo to "do" everything :) DJ continues to be mr. anal independent..if we don't follow the SAME, EXACT step, by step, steps of brushing his teeth and letting him do parts of it he FREAKS out..that has not been fun for daddy :) And if you forget to let him put the lid on somthn or open a bag of whatever he freaks out...we are working on using his "words" to tell us vs screaming before we even know what we didn't do :) DJ tells us his favorite color is green! He will tell us that Mommy and Grandma's favorite color is Purple, Me-ma's is yellow and Daddy's is blue! If you ask him where Daddy works he'll say "Daddy work at Intel" then ask where does Mommy work "Mommy work at Intel too". Ask where Gampa works "Gampa work with MickyMouse" (he use to work for disney and damon told him this..hee). Ask where Pop-pop work " Pop-pop work on Fishing Boat" (ok not really but it was fun to teach him that..haa) Ask where Grandaddy work "Grandaddy peaceman" (aka Policeman) :) He remembers EVERYTHING now and it's fun to play these quizes.

This weekend was time for Daddy's baseball games to start and this year DJ obviously knows exactly what a baseball is, about the glove, the ball, the bat, the helmet. Well he saw damon in his uniform and followed him around the house for 30min jabbering his head off saying "watch daddy play baseball" "daddy hit the ball", bla, bla, bla! It was soo cute yet seemed the kid had just eaten a tub of sugar he was soo excited! Then the entire drive tooo the game, spazzing the same thing to me and Grandma! Once we got to the game he had to basically narrate the entire action on the field " Daddy throw ball, Daddy take off helmet (Damon plays catcher), Daddy hit the ball"...etc..."Where Daddy is" I'd say daddy's in the dugout..then literally 10sec later "Where Daddy is" :) It was soo much fun and the best part was he came home and took a 3 hr nap which i don't remember the last time he did that for us at home on the weekends..it's usually a brief 1hr :)

Damon's Mom came up for a visit over the weekend and DJ had a lot of fun with Grandma.
