Once again our Family Camp came upon us pretty quick. We told ourselves last year we were going to rent an RV and didn't and so this year we MADE SURE we rented the RV for this years camping trip. We took DJ when he was 6months old...it was hell..then again last year...it was hell..haa..but this year it was GREAT! I'm sure his age had a little to do with it but having him sleep through the night and all of us staying dry and warm was a huge plus! Also we got got give DJ a bath/shower everynight which was huge since the kid was obviously layered in dirt even for him by the end of the days! He loved making "happy birthday cakes" out of the dirt in cups or his buckets!
DJ got to go on Pop-pops Fishing boat and drove the boat.....look at that tongue! :)
He was obsessed w/ going fishing the minute we got to the campsite...grabbed his pole (custom made for him) and net!
DJ also got to go out on the Kayak....funny enough we had tried to get him down for a nap 2 times this afternoon. Apparently the minute he got on the kayak he crashed and they couldn't wake him up..not even to show him catching their first fish. He did wake up for the second fish caught tho :)
DJ playing with Glory and Winn (Dave's niece's daughters 4 and 16 months)....he was soo shy as he doesn't know them but the girls were really cute! DJ actually did remarkebly well entertaining himself the entire trip, i was very surprised since these kids were only there for a short time.
Soooo we brought DJ's bike w/ us camping....what is camping w/out kids riding their bikes..well we only had ONE trip around the circle for us. Apparently DJ is more of a "High Maintenance" biker and prefers flat roads :) Going up the hill i had to practically push him then going down the "small" hill he freaked out that he was going too "fast", we've tried to show him the breaks but apparently he's not remembering in the moments :) At school their bikes/tricycles don't have breaks
It was a relaxing weekend and i even started reading Twilight and had a few chances to read a few chapters :) The weather was perfect and food fabulous as always. Camping w/ the "Logsdon's" is not really camping when you have gourmet salads, chicken...tri tip/fish with baked potatoes and asparagus and then chicken tacos :) My step sister Heidi and her husband came from LA along with my step-brother Doug. Then Dave's Brother and wife and his daughters/family came up for the day on Saturday. We missed having Sheila and Belinda join us though this year and of course Ryan and Hailey...hopefully by next year Ryan can actually get more than one day off a week! :)

That sounds like so much fun! I love the picture of DJ sleeping on the kayak. Classic!!
