3 Day Weekend!

We had a great looong weekend! Took DJ to his first Rodeo on Sat night. He did GREAT and sat for the entire thing just staring in awe at the horses and everything going on in the stadium. Then we got to see fireworks after! Sunday night our HOA had a block party so we got to mingle with a few of the neighbors and DJ got to play with the kidos. Then they had a bunch of fireworks they lit off and DJ once again did really well watching them. One of the girls even shared her sparklers with DJ and he did great holding it. Although it seems to me sparklers were A LOT cooler when i was a kid and lasted longer! The one he had fizzled out in his hand almost faster than it took to transfer it to his hand. And what about waving it in the air and seeing a line of fire/light?!? Nope these didn't do that :( Oh well! They don't make things like they use too..haaa! Both nights DJ was up till almost 11pm...and wouldn't u know it only slept till 8ish. We did figure out if we put him down for naps at 2pm (vs the old 12:30/1ish) that he will sleep for almost 3hrs..woo hoo! Monday we had the family over for a BBQ and the cousins got to play in the pool and make a mess of the living room :) We haven't seen Hailey in a long time since Ryan works so much now, but since we all had Monday off which is when he has her we got to finally see her. We also got to meet Ryan's new Girlfriend...woo hooo! YES he has a girlfriend...FINALLY! :) And we love her!! She is adorable and really sweet and outgoing and so down to earth. They are really cute together and she loves Hailey. We'll see how things go but we are just glad to see Ryan happy and have another distraction besides working so much!

We also had a playdate...was suppose to be at a new park that has water features but when we got there the water was closed :( So we went back to our normal water park but DJ wasn't much for playing. He just watched Madalyn :)We went to look for a new refrigerator and had to stop by the tractors for DJ to take a test drive :)DJ loving his pool and Hailey and DJ reading books :)

DJ started copying Hailey jumping from the slide so now he was perfecting his jumping and taking daddy's advice of putting the pillows down for a soft landing. It took us way to many tries to get this in the air shot :)
