Some co-workers of mine put together a kid trick or treating thing at work for our team. Made all the kids decorated bags with their names on it and filled it w/ goodies..then got all our cubes buckets with candy and the kids "trick or treated" them! It was actually good practice for DJ before he had to do the real thing! Everyone of course loved his costume..but all the kids looked soo cute!
DJ's school does a Harvest Party every year. This year it was pretty mellow and uneventful but at least the kids get to dress up in their costumes and walk in the Parade w/ their class! It was soo cute to see all the different costumes..there was a lot of Spider Man and Princess's of course!
This is Maddie (Princess Fiona)..she is DJ's "girlfriend"..they are super cute together and the teachers tell us the cutest stories weekly about these two! Maddie is just smitten w/ DJ and if you ask him who is Girlfriend is he says Maddie :)
Here are the Boys...they have been in the same class since Infants (along w/ Maddie) and are still buds! DJ, Colton, Jake....although Jake is his favorite and ALWAYS talks about "Jakie this" "Jakie that" and that he's his best friend! Jake is Superman and Colton is a Dinosaur if you couldn't tell!
He loved carving pumpkins. He picked out the stencil for ME to do "his" pumpkin. Pop-pop did a "DJ" pumpkin that DJ got to help carve and then they also a funny face pumpkin! He didn't much want to put his hands in the gooo but did like the roasted pumpkin seeds we made after!
This was super cute...DJ and Pop-pop have gotten in a routine each evening they are together to have "treats"...lemon or berry frozen yogurt..they sit there and take turns having bites...we have a stash at their house and ours..he only asks for it when Pop-pop is around tho..haaa!
So the BIG NIGHT! Oddly we have come back to a heat streak in CA...it did cool off a little but i had to put DJ in T-shirt/Shorts under his sweltering costume! We went trick or treating with our friends and his buddy Gabriel. We went to another mutual friends neighborhood a few blocks away and this neighborhood went all out. Pretty much every neighbor's house was decorated and participating in handing out candy. There were mobs of little kids going from house to house. DJ and Gabriel pretty much picked up the rear of our gang but were soo cute running up to each house. DJ did awesome at saying "Trick or Treat" and then "Thank You"! It's soo cute to have him go w/ other kids, he really loves to be around them and do these types of things w/ other kidos! DEFINITELY ready for a sibling i think..haa! (some day soon i hope!) 
All he wanted at the end of the night was a "wolly-pop" and then skittles..the Lollipop he opened and downed in no time (which was actually a tootsie pop..so is very chewy)...i didn't even know he liked them as he's never had one around us and then the skittles he ate half of the bag and then said he was going to save the rest for later! lol
