DJ's School pics

These are DJ's Fall School pics! He seriously looks like a 5yr old to me! My BIG boy!

Then the school had a Pony come in and they dressed the kids up and took pics of all the kidos. Of course DJ had to bring in his own cowboy hat in to wear! We got the pics back and he is just soo adorable..i couldn't believe he was even petting the pony's face while taking a pic!

DJ tidbits from the past few months....Lets see DJ is REALLY into Diego all of a sudden, for those of you that don't know Diego is a cute show that teaches kids about all different animals and then Dora is the other one that goes on explorations. He also still likes Mickey and Elmo..but Diego is always the favorite. He recently discovered some CDs we had of his kid songs..so now he puts them in the CD player, hits Play and cranks up the volume and runs in circles singing and dancing to the songs..he always wants it "louder" and Mommy/Daddy to run around with him. He loves going into his "play room" he calls it and is pulling out puzzles, balls and books! He still loves to read books...we now read books in his bedroom before bed since we are getting prepped for the big boy bed coming shortly! But he loves to read the singing and counting books lately that Daddy asks DJ questions as we go through them and doesn't fall for his trick questions...like "how many corners does the square, triangle etc have"..and then "how may does the circle/oval have"..haa. DJ loves to say "no way", "oh my goodness", calls the new house the "big house"..hopefully that will stop and just call it his house, "no i just don't want to"..haa! He is definitely listening to our conversations now and pipes in on the subject matter here and there. He was so funny getting his haircut the other day..we give him these fruit Gerber treats while he gets his haircut and this time he ate some and then said he wanted to save the rest for after his haircut..haa..so then of course he kept saying he was all done w/ his haircut so he could get in the car and finish his treats! He's still taking showers which is a lot easier for mommy and great at going to sleep and brushing his teeth and sleeping all night. Once a week at least i find acorns in DJ's pockets..also rocks and he loves to carry twigs around...although he knows he has to leave rocks/twigs at the front door so there is a pile growing fast at our door! He's still a great eater...finally have him eating the easy and normal kid stuff like cereal in the mornings and turkey sandwiches (crust and all and not cut up)...he loves his fruit and veggies too thankfully! We weighed him and he is 40lbs! and i think 36" tall! I'm buying him 5T shirts and 4T bottoms and size 10 shoes..crazy! He is just adorable every day and the things he says and does...he is such a lover....when ever Ocean our cat meows he asks "what is ocean saying" and we say he's saying I love you DJ...so now when he meows DJ will say "I love you too Ocean" :) He has thankfully barely been in time out at the new house, knock on wood, he gets a warning and a 1-3 count..of course i shouldn't even have to count but of course at "3" 99% of the time he does what is being asked of him..little stinker! Potty training is non existent...he "sits" on the potty at school w/ some of the other kids on the potty walks but literally has ZERO interest...hopefully that will change soon or i guess we will have to be pushing it a little more with maybe a reward system of some sort and be consistent at home with him going/sitting...oddly enough all boys his age in his class are in the same boat...the teachers think if just one of them would do it the others would probably follow...we shall see..stay posted! :)
