Kubik Family: Go Diego Go

DJ wanted a Diego Birthday Party this year..he is soo into Diego and his show. We had the family over for a Mexican fiesta and games and cake for the kidos! DJ really enjoyed opening his presents this year...of course he has had plenty of practice recently and of course needs NOTHING and probably got more for his bday than he did for Christmas...ohh boy!

Sooo i have been wanting to get DJ a scooter, he loves to ride on Kendall/Taylor's when we visit them but we decided he doesn't "need" it..well thankfully Uncle Rick and Aunt Kim must have read our minds...they got him a scooter...woohoo!

We had the kids decorate their own "Diego Vests"..aka cut out paper bags...and i was shocked that DJ could really care less about it...he LOVES stickers but of course not on this day :( Then they did an animal search (like Diego does on his show)...we hid little snakes/lizards/dinosaurs around the backyard and they had to go find them. Then we did the "Dancing Bean" game...had them jump around to the Diego theme song and when it stopped they had to FREEZE...And then of course we had a Pinata. I've never done a pinata before..i got one bag of candy for it and then just little toys..well barely 1/4 of what i got even fit into the darn thing and then you have each kid pull a string and there is a "one" string that actually opens it up...well of course the second kid to go ended up pulling "that" string but luckily it was stuffed so full no candy came out..haa..so i held it closed and let all the kids pull a string and then the candy came out and i dumped the remaining 3/4 out onto the floor that i had bought that was stashed to the side..haa! It was a fun day but A LOT of work...we will be going "out" for the party next year! :)

The cousins had a fun day hanging out after the party and reading books before bed! TAYLOR read a book too....very smart girl!

Then a week later we had DJ's school buddies over to celebrate again..they all have bdays in January! They loved getting to blow out candles again and get a long sooo well playing! Jake is his "best friend" :) Now that i look at the pics i really didn't get too many good ones..haa! you get the just! :)
