Getting Older....

So DJ only has ~2 more months and he is the big "2". I can't believe it. But i tell you one thing this past month has been a huge change for DJ. It seems every day a new word or phrase comes out of his mouth. He is starting to mimic us more and more also. He says "Bless You" when we sneeze....he says Thank You and Please without being asked (not all the time but one out of 10..hee). He says "Mama Sit"..and points his hand to the chair or "Dada sit" and same thing. He is naming all of his teachers and classmates. He says "oatmeal" when damon is getting his oatmeal ready in the morning to sit and eat breakfast with DJ :) Everything is "what's this" and he'll repeat what i say it is, it's cute right now, but i can see it getting old quick! I sat down with him to put his shapes in the "bucket" and he took the shape and went immediately to the right hole..he use to try all of them until he got it right. After months of trying to get him to look at flash cards, Damon has got him pointing to all the right letters when asked where one is and saying half of them out loud what it is and wanting to do it "more, more, more" :) It is just amazing how fast he is picking things up all of a sudden. Also he loooves the cats ever since we got back from our MO trip. He's always saying Max and Kitty Kitty (Ocean) and tries to give Ocean kisses and lays his head on him. Damon has DJ helping to feed the cats dinner at night also, and get the mail, and take out the trash...he's quite our little helper!

Just had to share a little tid bit about our little man, growing up wayyy too fast for Mommy! :)

Here are a couple recent pics. It was Sports day on Friday last week at school. I had just picked this Raiders shirt up a few nights before not even aware of sports day....thought it was about time he had one for daddy :)

And this one..he looooves to carry his "bucket" (thank u Aunt Nancy) around full of stuff and wave and Say "bye, bye" to us :
