Friendship Day

DJ had a "friendship" day celebration at school. We had to bring in "valentines" and of course i have no clue what the protocol is on this stuff as this is our first time. He got a lot of loot..apparently it's not just the "paper valentines" anymore! Of course he doesn't get to eat the candy but he got plenty of bubbles and toys along w/ the valentine cards which he loves to play with. The kids had snacks and juice along with some songs. Then we went outside to ride bikes! DJ loooves to ride bikes..every time we pick him up in the evenings he is riding a bike and now with the weather so nice we are riding bikes around the block at night before it's too dark. It is soo nice to not have to push him :)

Other tidbits...

DJ is now obsessed w/ doing things himself...well now taking his PJ's off in the morning and clothes off at night before bed is his next. Here he is doing it "himself" the other morning :)

He is also recognizing all the family relatives in pictures and saying their names! He washes his hands "all by self" at home...climbs up the stool, turns the water on, gets soap, scrubs, wash off and turns water off" :). Unfortunately he also now knows how to unlock the front door and open the door...a high lock up top is on our shopping list! He is now saying "blanket" instead of calling it nana :( He loves to say "Mommy/Daddy go to work", DJ go to school". Of course he calls himself "AJ" vs "DJ" it sounds like :) He's saying "not working" "daddy fix it" :) He loves to say prayers at night and say "AMEN"! And we officially just switched him to size 5 diapers..big boy! He's wearing some 4T shirts and 3T pants! We are having great weather right now in the upper 60's..it is such a nice change, but looks like it will be raining again this weekend...we are trying to get our Park time in when we can!

DJ came home sick last week from school and within 30min was lethargic and laying on damon's lap...next we knew he had 103 fever..so went to the doc the next day and the poor little guy had Bronchitis!! Luckily he seems to have recovered pretty quickly once on the meds but didn't like the inhaler! It even had a cute duck face and we tried to make it something fun..but he wasn't having it! He'll put it up to his face but not really "inhale".
