Miles 3 months and DJ update

Here are some random photos of Miles. Everyone that meets him can't get over how chill he is and such a great baby. And we agree! He is soo content unless he is hungry or tired, so luckily that is easily fixed. He loves to fall asleep on our chest or in his car seat. He smiles constantly the minute he makes eye contact w/ us and we can get him "cooing/talking" for long periods at a time. It's soo fun! He is a chunk...he is already outgrowing some of his 6month clothes..but luckily some still fit him..soo crazy! He does good with his baths and sleeps through the night since 9weeks! He sometimes wakes up but luckily goes back to sleep on his own...except around 6am and then i give him the pacifier and he is out till 7am which is when DJ wakes up and is allowed out of his room so it works really well! His neck is really strong and is constantly trying to hold it up when you hold him. We have tummy time, stretch time on his play mat, sing songs and read books. Even started his bedtime routine of Good Night Moon like we did w/ DJ :) He is swaddled at night but not during the day unlike DJ was 24'7..haa! He is constantly moving his arms and legs. He stopped putting his right hand in his mouth to suck and now is working on the left...it's so cute to see him concentrate so hard looking at his hand coming up to his mouth...but we are deterring that as you can't take the thumb away but can a pacifier later :) I think he's just exploring it! I tried him in his bumbo but he's still a little too young for it but he looks cute! He's eating 6oz every 4hrs and taking ~2hr naps 2 or 3 times a day so is a good sleeper!

DJ loooves his little brother and Miles really lights up when DJ is around. DJ just has a tendency to get right in his face to talk to him or shake his chair too hard...so we are working on that..ha! But he is a big helper and always wants Miles included on anything we are doing. He even got 4 $1 bills for his bday and wanted to give Miles one...too cute!

DJ started in his Pre-K class. It was sad for us to have him leave his Pre-School room as we LOVE the teachers but his new teachers are great too! We have been soo lucky! He loves to learn and really is starting to ask good questions. He is also enrolled in their Phonics and Math classes they offer for a 1:3 teacher/kid ratio that puts more focus on letters/writing and Math..he LOVES it and we have seen a huge improvement in his writing and desire to do it! His new teachers had said they are impressed with his Academics..yeah! We just want to make sure he is where he should be for his age and have fun doing it!

DJ now has homework in his pre-k class! This is his first homework page EVER! haa! They have a packet of about 4 pages to do for the week...which i think is awesome prep for Kindergarten ( for him and US and will only continue for the next 20yrs!) This one we had to read a book and draw a picture about it and write what it was..so he wanted to read a CARS book and draw the picture. Guess he really hasn't drawn "real" objects as he asked us how to draw a car..it was cute! McQueen you can kind of make out but Mater is kind of in half..haa!

We are still going to Swim Lessons weekly. DJ has been soooo close to getting his next ribbon the past two weeks...he is swimming front and on his back across the width of the pool. But on his way back on his belly he looses his stamina and can't quite make it..but he's soo close..we are so proud of him!

I also just signed him up for Ittsy Bittsy Baseball, Soccer and Basketball...it starts in March and is one at a time, one night a week for 4wks each with Parent assistance. It will be so cute to watch him play and start learning the fundamentals and see which one he likes best!
