DJ wanted to help me make eggs and pancakes for breakfast! :) I could not believe he really ate 4 eggs all to himself!
We took DJ to Disney on Ice. We have been a few times in the past few years but this one was all about Toy Story so he really loved it. It was the first time damon went with us too and he even liked it. It just kills me that DJ just stares at the show like this like a deer in the headlights the entire time! He really wanted popcorn and daddy is a sucker and bought him a buzz laser toy. We did not quite realize just how LOUD this toy was until we got into the car on our way home and he is since not aloud to hit the button..haa..ok he is but only when Miles isn't sleeping and not continuously..haa!
DJ was so cute and wanted to randomly draw a picture and i came over and he has drawn our "family". This is the first stick people he has ever drawn on his own that i've seen...it's soo cute! Later he added max and ocean to the family picture too!
DJ is learning about the Planets this month at school and this week their homework was to make a Planet that was assigned to them. He got Venus...so DJ painted it and glued clouds on it..he also memorized his 3 fun fact: it is covered in sulfuric acid clouds, it is 2nd closest to the Sun after the Earth and it is the 2nd brightest in the night sky after the moon. I couldn't believe he remembered all 3 of those! It was cute to see all the different planets the kids created....although some unfortunately you could tell the kids did not do themselves..haa! We had so much fun doing this and he was soo excited to take it to school so he did 3 days before it was due.
DJ picked out a new game and we play it non stop...you balance these objects and have to take one off at a time keeping it balanced..he is so cute whispering to me as he decides what to take off and then if it does fall he totally jumps! It's a cute game!

Miles is 4 months old! at his checkup he weighed 19lbs and 26 3/4in...both above the 95% so off the charts. soo crazy...a guess a nurse questioned the nurse getting his shots ready and thought why is she getting him shots and thought he was a one year old. Then the doc said he weighs what an average 8 month old does! So we moved him to the next size diapers...i started buying 9-12 mo clothes...luckily he still does fit in some of the 6 mo. Next will be the carseat i think to go a lot sooner than expected! He did end up getting a fever and then a cough after his shots....and the cough is just now a week later starting to go away. He is napping great with 2-3hrs in the AM and then 2-4hrs in the afternoon...although i think it is more to do w/ being sick this week but we'll see! He still wakes up around 3:30/4:30/5:30 but goes back to sleep quickly on his own and then around 6 is up and i'm giving him the pacifier until 7am :) I'm hoping w/ the time change soon we will be right at 7am wake up w/ no needing to give him his paci.
He's starting to grab at the toys instead of just stare at them :)
Sooo i finally decided it was time to cut his hair. He has soo many long straggler pieces of hair on the top and sides over his ears that it drives me CRAZY...not to mention his 4 inch colic in the back. My step sister had shown me kinda how to cut his hair w/ DJ awhile back so i gave it a shot...i wasn't trying to give him a full blown cut and make it perfect but atleast get those longs ones chopped off so i could see his cute face. He did really good and i'm soo glad i did it. We waited way to long to do it to DJ looking back at old pics.

Well i have just over a week left before i go back to work..can't believe it but i'm so grateful to have been able to stay home this long. Damon is looking forward to staying home and i'm soo blessed to have a guy that WANTS to stay home and is CAPABLE of staying home all on his own for 9 wks with a baby! It will be such a great bonding time for them...Miles just lights up every time he sees damon or hears his voice. I'm sure i will be home every day at lunch..haa!
