Monterey

We headed down to Monterey last weekend to visit my dad. The first thing on Grandaddy's agenda was to go get DJ his own set of golf clubs! They have a really neat club near him that is geared towards kids and have schools come for group classes during the day. Apparently they have the same type of classes available in Sacramento also. We will definitely be looking into it once he is 4yrs old! In the mean time looks like he is going to be content just hitting his golf balls on the greens with Grandaddy and Daddy! We got him lefty clubs as he still seems to bat and golf as a lefty but writing/eating/throwing is still up in the air and he switches back and forth a lot. These clubs are the CUTEST and the real deal and should last him till he's 6yrs old or so. So we had to test them out and revisit the golf course several times during our visit. Luckily Grandaddy is a member at a local club so we went friday evening and again on saturday morning for breakfast. He did not want to give up those clubs and leave...we had several "one more times' :) But we are so excited to see him soo happy and loving playing golf. Now daddy will have to be getting DJ out to the driving range to practice!

We also went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. DJ did ok with it..he didn't really like the dark rooms where most of the fish displays were but he made it through and liked to watch the fish he could see and make out what they were. He definitely enjoyed the splash zone area and going down the slides and playing with the fake starfish that he wanted to take home :)

We had a great visit w/ Grandaddy and can't wait for another!
